Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider-AHA Card
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) training course, based on the standards of the American Heart Association (AHA), was conducted for physicians and registered nurses from MedPark Hospital, Mahachai3 Hospital and Mahachai Petcharat Hospital. This course focused on equipping participants with knowledge and understanding of assessing and diagnosing cardiac arrest and abnormal heart rhythms. The training aimed to ensure participants could effectively use life-saving equipment and relevant medications, enhancing their skills in both basic and advanced life support in accordance with established guidelines. Additionally, the course improved communication skills and teamwork during advanced resuscitation efforts.
The training employed a blended learning approach, combining online education, theoretical instruction, and practical sessions using simulated scenarios. The program was honored to have Captain (Navy) Dr. Jariya Santatianant, an anesthesiologist and Deputy Director of Somdech Phra Pinklao Hospital, Naval Medical Department, serve as the course Director. Esteemed instructors included Dr. Dhanadol Rojanasarntikul, an emergency medicine physician from Chulalongkorn Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society; Colonel Dr. Panithan Kwangwaropas, an emergency medicine physician and head of the Military Medical Simulation Center, Phramongkutklao College of Medicine; Dr. Phuphit Fuangworawong, an anesthesiologist from MedPark Hospital; Assistant Professor Dr. Chaiwut Sawawiboon, a pulmonologist and critical care specialist from MedPark Hospital; and Dr. Patima Puttaphaisan, an emergency medicine physician from MedPark Hospital.
Participants gained hands-on experience in evaluating and diagnosing cardiac arrest and abnormal heart rhythms, proficiently using life-saving tools and medications. The training also enhanced their communication skills and ability to work as a cohesive team during advanced resuscitation, meeting international standards.
